Rhode Island Casinos Map

Rhode Island has just two casinos, both run by Bally’s: the large Twin River resort at Lincoln north of Providence, and the smaller Tiverton property out in the East Bay near the Massachusetts line. The minimum age on the casino floor is 18, one of the few states that still sets it there rather than at 21.

How Rhode Island’s casinos are laid out

For the smallest state in the country, the casino picture is simple. Two properties, one company, and the whole operation held under the Rhode Island Lottery. There is no spread of riverboats or tribal floors to track here, just a northern flagship and a southeastern satellite, with the bulk of the gaming concentrated in the north.

The larger of the two sits at Lincoln, about ten miles north of Providence off Route 146. Bally’s Twin River Lincoln grew out of a former dog track and is now a full resort, with a hotel, an event center, a poker room, and by far the bigger gaming floor in the state. For most visitors coming from Providence or the Boston side of the line, this is the default casino.

The second property is down in the East Bay at Tiverton, tucked against the Massachusetts border next to Fall River. Bally’s Tiverton is the newer and smaller of the pair, opened in 2018 to capture traffic from southeastern Massachusetts. It is closer to Newport and the coast than it is to Providence, which is the point: it serves a different corner of the region than Lincoln does.
